Graham Muncer Cup 2019

Graham Muncer was a pupil of Colman Junior School and lived locally, many years ago. One summer, Graham, his brother and some friends went fishing in the river at Cringleford. They paddled in the water and used fishing nets to catch little fish. Very sadly, Graham slipped into the deep water under the bridge and drowned. Graham’s parents do not wish this to happen to anyone else and really want every child to learn how to swim. They gave the school a cup, to be presented to someone who has shown a positive attitude to all aspects of swimming.

I always choose a Year 6 pupil who has shown a positive attitude to all types of swimming, including strokes, water polo, sculling and, most importantly, water safety and personal survival.

This year, the Graham Muncer Cup has been presented to Alexandra
